Our library of recipe books is already too big for the space we set aside for them. This might not be surprising given how much we enjoy cooking, beautifully photographed food and books in general. For now we’re wedging them in there and simply enjoying having them unpacked and accessible!
Can I also take a moment to point out the microwave in the cabinet? We totally lucked out in that we owned a microwave that was the exact size of our cabinet. Being jealous of our counter space, we opted to pop the microwave into the cabinet, simply removing the door and inserting a plug! I’m loving having it up off the counter and like the open shelving with books above.
We have our share of classic cooking texts, as well as a nearly complete collection of Cook’s Illustrated Cook Books (we’re big fans of the magazine, too) and a hearty collection of pressure cooker cookbooks from my husband who did a lot of pressure cooker cooking in grad school.
Of course, despite the fact that we have some books that won’t fit on these shelves as it is, I still have a wish list going of cook books I’d like to get. I’m eyeing the new Smitten Kitchen book, and I think I want each one of the books mentioned in this post from DesignMom!
What recipe books do you have that you can’t live with out? Any books that you have your eye on?
